Shae Uisna is a Celebrant, artist, educator and death-care worker. She holds certifications in Ceremonial Studies from the Celebrant Foundation & Institute with specializations in Funerals, Ceremonies Across the Life Cycle, and Weddings. Currently on the faculty of the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, teaching classes in Ceremonies Across the Life-Cycle, Healing Ceremonies, and Funerals, Shae founded the “Motherless Mother’s Day Celebration.” She is passionate about training new Celebrants, as well as in developing new Ceremonies for Communities.
A Fulbright Scholar who holds a B.A. in European Studies from Loyola Marymount University and received her Master of Arts degree from Portland State University, Shae Uisna has been a lifelong student of comparative mythology and puppet & mask traditions. As a "Ceremonial Specialist," she draws from a wealth of imagery and traditions, weaving archetype, movement and music into unique Ceremonies and Workshops.
