Proud Gold Sponsor of KinkFest 2018
Have you ever been to a funeral where the officiating minister or priest talked about the deceased person's life in ways that were totally alien to the person who passed and to those who knew and loved them?
I have.
This is why, in 2008, I became a "Life-Cycle Celebrant," a Ceremony Professional who studies how to celebrate lives in ways that reflect a person's actual life; their choices, and beliefs.
And how about the other end of the spectrum? What about ceremonies that "bind us to one another"? In our contemporary world, people are living interesting and exciting lives that do not fit into traditional anything. Many people no longer belong to organized religions. Many are atheists or agnostics. Whatever the case, people live and die and want to celebrate rites of passage and honor milestone birthdays and achievements within their families and communities. They love and care for one another and are looking to express commitments to each other in authentic & special ways, with rites and rituals that haven't been done a bazillion times.
Whether you'd like to have a collaring ceremony at KinkFest, or wish to celebrate your commitment to your partner(s) with a handfasting or wedding in some other beautiful place in Oregon or Washington, I'm excited to help bring your vision to life.
I am a "Life-Cycle Celebrant" certified to create ceremonies that will celebrate your life's most special and meaningful moments in unique, unexpected, and delightful ways!
"Shae Uisna is a gem! A practicing Celebrant since 2008, and a teacher at CF&I (The Celebrant Foundation & Institute) since 2015, Shae has a reputation within the Celebrant tribe as devising 'VERY CREATIVE' Ceremonies - whether this is her 'Motherless Mother's Day Ceremony,' her 'Earth Father's Day Celebration,' or 'Handfastings' and other 'Joinings' that completely break the mold of traditional weddings. Shae is a joy to work with and I highly recommend her!"
